Lactation pods for the workplace
A dedicated, private, lockable space that is not a bathroom, delivered and assembled in a morning without building anything. If you are working out how to meet the requirement without losing a meeting room or starting a construction project, this is the shortest route to it.
Six models, one configurator
Every FocusPod has a glass front and rear, built-in wheels and adjustable leveling feet.

What the requirement actually asks for
Under the PUMP Act, covered employers must provide a nursing employee with reasonable break time and a place to pump that is shielded from view, free from intrusion, and not a bathroom. The Department of Labor publishes the detail, and it is worth reading rather than relying on a summary, including who is covered and the limited exemptions.
Two things in that wording drive the specification. Shielded from view is a glass decision, not an acoustic one. Free from intrusion is a door and a lock. Neither is satisfied by a repurposed meeting room with a sign on it, which is the arrangement most employers start with and most employees quietly stop using.
The space also has to be available when it is needed, which is the practical problem with borrowing a bookable room. A dedicated pod removes the scheduling conflict entirely.
How we build it
It starts as a standard FocusPod shell, so it carries the same construction, the same ventilation and the same acoustic result as the rest of the range: laboratory tested at greater than 29 dB speech level reduction under ISO 23351-1, measured on the assembled pod with ventilation running.
What changes is the glass and the inside. The glazing is treated so the pod cannot be seen into, either with applied frosting, a printed wrap in your own branding, or switchable privacy glass if the room has more than one use. Inside, a comfortable chair rather than an office chair, a surface at the right height, power within reach of it, and a lock on the door with an occupancy indicator outside.
Everything else is a choice: a small refrigerator, a hook, a mirror, a shelf, softer lighting. Tell us what the room is for and we will configure it rather than sell you a fixed box.
Which size
Most employers use one of the two-person models rather than a single-person booth. The extra floor takes a proper chair, leaves room for a bag and a pram, and means a parent is not sitting in a space designed around a standing desk.
Duo and Team both work. Duo is the more enclosed of the two and usually the better choice here. If the room will double as a wellness or quiet room, look at Meet, which gives you the space to do both properly.
Solo and Solo Plus are the wrong purchase for this, and we would rather tell you now than sell you one.
Where to put it
Not on the main circulation route. This is the one room where being seen going in is the thing people mind, so the quiet edge of the floor beats the prominent position every time.
Near a sink if you have the choice, because washing equipment is part of the routine and walking the length of the building with it is the detail that makes a good room annoying. Within reach of an outlet, which any pod needs anyway. And away from the noisiest part of the floor, even though the pod handles that, because the walk matters as much as the room.
Every model, priced
No enquiry needed. Furniture and installation are separate lines so you can see what each part adds.

Prices are for the pod in the configuration you choose. Finishes, furniture and compatible extras are listed separately as you build. Delivery, destination costs and any applicable tax are confirmed on your order summary, so the total you approve is the total you pay.

What is included as standard
Every FocusPod arrives with laminated glass front and rear, layered acoustic insulation, adjustable ventilation, dimmable LED lighting with adjustable colour temperature, power and an occupancy light. Speech level reduction is laboratory tested at greater than 29 dB under ISO 23351-1, the international standard written specifically for pods. Every pod is covered by our five-year structural and electrical warranty.

There is no separate charge for the black or white exterior or for the standard interior palette. Other exterior colours use the displayed upgrade price, and a custom interior colour is priced per pod. All of it is listed separately as you build, so nothing arrives as a surprise on your order.
See it properly before you decide
Take a look inside. The film below walks through the Solo, the most compact model in the range, and the 3D configurator lets you turn any model around, change the finishes and try the furniture layouts. If you would rather be walked through it, we will do a live video walkthrough of the pod you are considering and answer questions as we go.
Common questions
Does a pod satisfy the PUMP Act requirement?
The requirement is for a space shielded from view, free from intrusion and not a bathroom. A pod with treated glazing and a lock meets that description, and it has the advantage of being permanently available rather than booked. Read the Department of Labor guidance and check your own circumstances, because coverage and exemptions vary.
Can we brand or frost the glass?
Yes. Applied frosting, a printed wrap in your own artwork, or switchable privacy glass that goes from clear to frosted at the touch of a button. Choose before you order, because it changes the specification.
Which model should we buy?
Duo or Team for most workplaces, because they take a proper chair and leave room for a bag and a pram. Meet if the room will also serve as a wellness or quiet room. Not Solo or Solo Plus.
Can we add a refrigerator?
Yes. Tell us what you need inside and we will configure it. Power is built in.
Does it need building work or landlord approval?
No. It is freestanding on levelling feet, plugs into a standard socket and is not fixed to the building, so there is no consent to obtain and nothing to reinstate at the end of the lease.
How long does delivery take?
Pods are made to the configuration you approve. Indicative lead time is around four weeks from a confirmed order, with delivery and installation scheduled on top, and your order summary confirms the window for your address.
Can it be used for other things?
Yes, and many are. The same shell serves as a wellness room, a quiet room or a focus room with a different fit-out. If the room has more than one use, switchable privacy glass is usually the better glazing choice.
Are the front and rear both glass?
Yes. Every FocusPod has glass at both the front and rear. Standard glass is clear. Optional PDLC privacy glass can be selected for the front only or for both the front and rear.
Can I move the pod once it is installed?
Yes. Every FocusPod has built-in wheels and adjustable leveling feet. Raise the feet to move the pod on its wheels, then lower and adjust them to level the pod in its new position.
