FocusPod vs Framery

If you are weighing us against Framery for a workplace in the US, here is the comparison laid out properly: what you actually get for the money, how the two are bought, and the questions that decide it either way. Our prices are on the page so you can put the two side by side today rather than waiting on a quote.

Six models, one configurator

Every FocusPod has a glass front and rear, built-in wheels and adjustable leveling feet.

Where the two are alike

Both are enclosed, freestanding acoustic pods for calls, focused work and small meetings, in sizes from one person up to a small meeting room. Both are ventilated and lit, both run from a standard socket, and both are tested against ISO 23351-1, the international standard written specifically for pods. Framery has been doing this a long time and is specified by plenty of large organisations.

So the decision does not usually come down to whether a pod will work. It comes down to what you pay, what is included, and how long it takes to find out.

The difference you notice first: you can see our prices

Framery is sold through a dealer network, and pricing is generally provided on quotation for each project. That is a normal way to sell furniture, but it means the first real number arrives after a conversation, and comparing two dealer quotes on different specifications is harder than it should be.

We publish every price. Our range starts at $6,895 for the one-person Solo and runs to $17,795 for the six-person Max, with furniture and installation priced as separate lines. You can build the exact specification in 3D, watch the number change as you choose finishes and furniture, and know your budget before you speak to anyone.

Comparing the two fairly

Put both on the same basis before you decide. These are the five things that actually separate pods, and they are the same five we would apply to ourselves.

What to line up side by side
What to compareWhat to ask forWhere FocusPod stands
Acoustic performanceThe ISO 23351-1 certificate for the exact model quoted, not a panel ratingGreater than 29 dB speech level reduction under ISO 23351-1, detail supplied on request
The real priceThe delivered and installed total for your address, including taxEvery model priced on the page; your order adds delivery, installation and tax before you pay
WarrantyThe written terms, including who pays labour and transport on a claimFive years structural and electrical, terms supplied with your order
Lead timeProduction, shipping and installation window in writingMade to your approved configuration, with the window confirmed on your order
What is includedWhether ventilation, lighting, power and furniture are standard or extraVentilation, dimmable lighting, power and an occupancy light standard; furniture priced separately

The acoustic row is the one most people get wrong. A decibel figure with no named standard behind it usually describes a wall panel measured in a laboratory rather than the assembled pod with its door, seals and vents. Ask both of us for the certificate covering the model on your order and compare like with like.

What is included as standard

Every FocusPod arrives with laminated glass front and rear, layered acoustic insulation, adjustable ventilation, dimmable LED lighting with adjustable colour temperature, power and an occupancy light. Speech level reduction is laboratory tested at greater than 29 dB under ISO 23351-1, the international standard written specifically for pods. Every pod is covered by our five-year structural and electrical warranty.

There is no separate charge for the black or white exterior or for the standard interior palette. Other exterior colours use the displayed upgrade price, and a custom interior colour is priced per pod. All of it is listed separately as you build, so nothing arrives as a surprise on your order.

See it properly before you decide

Take a look inside. The film below walks through the Solo, the most compact model in the range, and the 3D configurator lets you turn any model around, change the finishes and try the furniture layouts. If you would rather be walked through it, we will do a live video walkthrough of the pod you are considering and answer questions as we go.

The FocusPod Solo, in detail: furniture layouts, exterior and interior finishes, lighting, ventilation, power and the magnetic soft-close door.

Buying direct rather than through a dealer

We sell direct, so the person who quotes your project is the person who arranges the delivery and picks up the phone afterwards. There is no dealer margin in the price and no handover between the sale and the installation. If something needs sorting out later, you are dealing with us rather than working out whose responsibility it is.

It also means we can be straight with you about timing. Pods are made to your approved configuration, and if you have a date to hit we will tell you plainly whether it is achievable rather than letting you find out later.

Looking for a Framery alternative

Most people who land here are doing one of two things: checking whether the premium is buying them something real, or looking for the same result at a sensible number. Either way the answer is in the table above. Get the ISO 23351-1 certificate, get the delivered and installed total, get the warranty terms in writing, and compare those three on both quotes.

Our position is simple. Class-leading acoustic performance under the same standard, a five-year structural and electrical warranty, and every price published so you can check the value yourself rather than taking our word for it. Build a configuration and you will have a real number in a few minutes.

Common questions

Is FocusPod cheaper than Framery?

We publish our prices, so you can see exactly what we cost before you talk to us. Framery pricing is generally quoted per project through dealers and varies with configuration, so the fair comparison is the delivered and installed total for your address on both quotes rather than a headline figure.

How do the acoustics compare?

Both are tested against ISO 23351-1. Ours is greater than 29 dB speech level reduction. Ask for the certificate for the specific model on each quote, because that is the only way to compare the same measurement rather than two different headline numbers.

What warranty do I get?

Five years structural and electrical, with the written terms supplied as part of your order. Ask any supplier you compare for their terms in writing before you order, including who pays for labour and transport on a claim.

Can I see a FocusPod before I order?

Yes. Turn any model around in the 3D configurator, watch the product films, and if you would like to be walked through it, we will do a live video walkthrough of the pod you are considering and answer questions as we go. Send us the room dimensions beforehand and we will talk through how it fits.

Are the front and rear both glass?

Yes. Every FocusPod has glass at both the front and rear. Standard glass is clear. Optional PDLC privacy glass can be selected for the front only or for both the front and rear.

Can I move the pod once it is installed?

Yes. Every FocusPod has built-in wheels and adjustable leveling feet. Raise the feet to move the pod on its wheels, then lower and adjust them to level the pod in its new position.

Do you deliver and install in the US?

Yes. Send the full address, the access route and your preferred timing with your enquiry and we will confirm the delivery and installation plan and the complete project price before anything is payable.

Get both numbers and decide

The most reliable comparison is a like-for-like quote: the same capacity, a similar finish level, and delivery to your actual address. Ours takes a few minutes to build and costs nothing to find out.
