What actually changes

Three things, and only three.

The glass. Clear as standard. Applied frosting or a printed wrap in your own artwork makes it permanently private. Switchable privacy glass goes from clear to frosted at the touch of a button, which is the right choice when the room has more than one use.

The inside. Desk and office chair, lounge seating, a meeting table, a comfortable armchair, a mat and low lighting. Power, data and lighting are built in and positioned to suit.

The size. Six models from one person to six. Most of what follows works in a two-person shell, which is the sweet spot between floor area and usefulness.

What does not change is the shell: laboratory tested at greater than 29 dB speech level reduction under ISO 23351-1, measured assembled with the ventilation running, and covered by a five-year structural and electrical warranty.

Parents' room and lactation room

Frosted or wrapped glazing so nobody can see in, a lock on the door, an occupancy light outside, a comfortable chair rather than an office chair, a surface at the right height and power within reach of it. A small refrigerator, a mirror and a hook if you want them.

Duo or Team for most workplaces. The reason to use a dedicated pod rather than a bookable room is availability: a room that has to be requested twice a day stops being requested.

Prayer and multifaith room

Full privacy glazing, a clear floor area, directional orientation considered at placement, low glare lighting and somewhere to leave shoes. No fixed furniture, which is the point.

Meet or Max, because floor area matters more than seating here. In the Gulf this is often part of the fit-out brief rather than an extra, and a freestanding pod solves it without taking a permanent room out of the floor plan.

Quiet, sensory and decompression room

Dimmable lighting with adjustable colour temperature is already standard, which is most of the requirement. Add soft seating, a muted interior finish, full privacy glazing and no screen.

This is the room that gets specified as a workplace adjustment for neurodivergent staff, and in schools and clinics as a calm space. The acoustic performance works in the direction people forget: it keeps the building out, not just the conversation in.

Wellness and rest room

An armchair or a day bed, warm low lighting, full privacy glazing, a lock. Ventilation matters more here than anywhere else in this list, because the room is used for longer with the door shut.

Meet gives you space to lie down. Duo is enough for a sit and a reset.

Telehealth, consultation and counselling

Two seats or a desk and a chair, the screen oriented away from the glass, full or switchable privacy glazing, and an occupancy indicator so nobody opens the door mid-appointment.

The screen orientation is the detail clinics get wrong. A glass rear wall with a monitor facing it puts patient records in view of the corridor, and it is free to solve before the pod is placed and impossible afterwards.

Interview and HR room

Duo is built for this: two benches slightly across from each other, which is the right geometry for a conversation where you both need to see a screen and neither of you is presenting.

Specify privacy glazing and put it away from the main route. A room people are watched walking into does not get used for the conversations that most needed it.

Study, library and music practice

A desk and a task chair for individual study, or a table and four seats for group work. In a library the acoustic performance is doing the opposite of its usual job: keeping the quiet out of the conversation rather than the conversation out of the quiet.

For music practice the honest answer is that it works well for individual practice on quiet instruments and for rehearsal where the requirement is containment rather than isolation. If you need a room that a drum kit cannot be heard through, that is a built acoustic room, not a pod, and we would rather say so.

Podcast and video recording, honestly

A pod makes a very good recording space for interviews, internal video and remote appearances: it is quiet, it is treated inside so it does not sound boxy, and the lighting is adjustable for camera. Add a table, two chairs, acoustic panels and a monitor arm and it does that job well.

What it is not is a studio isolation booth. Specialist booths from audio manufacturers achieve a different order of isolation and are built for it. If you are recording music, doing voice work to broadcast standard, or need a measured noise floor, buy the specialist product. If you are recording a podcast in an office, this is the better buy.

Step-free access, across the range

Not an application, a specification. We build a threshold-free model with no lip or step at the doorway, so a wheelchair user rolls straight in, and it is tested to the same acoustic standard as the rest of the range rather than trading performance for access.

If accessibility is written into your specification or your tender, ask us for the door opening width, the internal turning space and the acoustic test report for that model. Those are the three numbers that get copied into a spec document, and we will give you all three.

Every model, priced

Whatever the room is for, it starts from one of these. Furniture and installation are separate lines so you can see what each part adds.

Prices are for the pod in the configuration you choose. Finishes, furniture and compatible extras are listed separately as you build. Delivery, destination costs and any applicable tax are confirmed on your order summary, so the total you approve is the total you pay.

What is included as standard

Every FocusPod arrives with laminated glass front and rear, layered acoustic insulation, adjustable ventilation, dimmable LED lighting with adjustable colour temperature, power and an occupancy light. Speech level reduction is laboratory tested at greater than 29 dB under ISO 23351-1, the international standard written specifically for pods. Every pod is covered by our five-year structural and electrical warranty.

There is no separate charge for the black or white exterior or for the standard interior palette. Other exterior colours use the displayed upgrade price, and a custom interior colour is priced per pod. All of it is listed separately as you build, so nothing arrives as a surprise on your order.
