Ceiling height, first

Check it before anything else, because it is the one constraint that cannot be worked around. Measure to the finished ceiling, not the slab, and check for anything hanging below it: sprinkler heads, lighting, ductwork, cable trays. Then confirm against the external height of the model you want. Suspended ceilings and older buildings are where this catches people out.

Clearance around it

Leave room for the door to open fully and for someone to walk past while it is open. Leave the ventilation unobstructed. And leave enough space behind or beside the pod for service access, so that a future repair does not mean moving the whole thing.

Life safety, which is not our call

A pod is furniture, not construction, but a large object in an open floor still interacts with your building's egress and sprinkler coverage. Do not place one in front of an exit, in an exit corridor, or where it blocks access to fire equipment, and have whoever handles life safety for your building or your AHJ confirm the position before it is fixed in the plan.

We would rather raise this than leave it for someone else to find. Send us the floor plan with the position marked and we will give you accurate dimensions and weights for that conversation.

Power, and where the outlet is

A pod runs from a standard outlet and needs no dedicated circuit or electrical work. What matters is where the nearest outlet is relative to where the pod will sit, because nobody wants a cord crossing a walkway. Plan the position around an existing outlet if you can, and tell us at the enquiry stage if you cannot, so we can talk through the options.

Floor, and floor loading

A pod is freestanding and spreads its weight across levelling feet rather than concentrating it at points. Levelling feet handle normal variation in a floor, but a significantly uneven or sloping floor is worth flagging in advance. We will give you the packed and assembled weight for the model you are considering so your building manager or engineer can confirm the position.

On soft flooring, a heavy object will mark carpet over time. That is worth knowing rather than discovering.

Light, heat and glare

A glazed pod on a sunny elevation gets warm and gets glare on screens. If the only available spot is against a south or west-facing window, say so at the enquiry stage and we will tell you honestly whether the air conditioning option is worth having, rather than selling you one either way.

Where people will actually use it

Utilisation follows proximity. Put a pod on the route people already walk and visible from the desks it serves. A pod in a back corridor gets used by the people who already knew it was there. And do not put one in the quiet room, because that creates a stream of foot traffic through the space that exists to be undisturbed.

Every model, priced

Prices are for the pod in the configuration you choose. Finishes, furniture and compatible extras are listed separately as you build. Delivery and handling, selected installation and any applicable tax are confirmed on your written quotation, so the total you approve is the total you pay.

What is included as standard

Every FocusPod arrives with laminated glass front and rear, layered acoustic insulation, adjustable ventilation, dimmable LED lighting with adjustable colour temperature, power and an occupancy light. Speech level reduction is laboratory tested at 30.5–30.8 dB under ISO 23351-1, the international standard written specifically for pods. Every pod is covered by our five-year structural and electrical warranty.

There is no separate charge for the black or white exterior or for the standard interior palette. Other exterior colours use the displayed upgrade price, and a custom interior colour is priced per pod. All of it is listed separately as you build, so nothing arrives as a surprise on the quotation.
